4 month checkup

i had my 4 month checkup today! i grew 2.25 inches and gained 3 lbs and 15 ounces since my 2 month visit!






dr. henry is so nice. he said i was a brave boy during my shots and i have a great shaped head too!

fun with Ronin!

Hey everyone! Daddy here--finally!

First off, much love to Mommy for always updating Ronin's blog. Mommy's definitely the responsible one when it comes to taking pictures and remembering dates and such things.

Since Daddy hasn't been updating or blogging regularly, at least I'll try to add a little extra flavor to the pics I post. And with that said...

Here is a little series of photos I put together of Ronin (this is from late April). I think it's pretty self-explanatory. And, yes, his shirt says, "Trouble is my middle name."

Also, thanks to the keen observation powers of my friend Elan, I mocked up a potential Halloween costume for Ronin this year. This is from a pic that my godbrother Jerry took but that I did some slight tweaking on. Can you guess who he's supposed to be?

The only catch is that this will only work if Ronin stays just as round and just as bald in five months as he is currently. In case you haven't figured it out yet:

Halloween costume option #2, per Auntie Jessica's most excellent suggestion, is to go as Kuato from TOTAL RECALL (Daddy, of course, would play the outer shell--George--to Ronin's Kuato). That would be a pretty complicated costume, though, if done right.

week 15 - first trip to houston

my first time flying was to houston to see ah-gongs and ah-mas! houston is very hot... i think i'll visit again when it gets cooler!

nice to see you again, ah-gong and ah-ma! it has been over 2 months since ah-gong has seen me. i've changed a lot!

i can almost put my whole hand in my mouth! yummy!

week 13 - mother's day

first mother's day for ma-ma and ah-ma!

i was a good boy and slept as soon as ma-ma and ah-ma ordered their food! i like to try those crepes one day, ma-ma!

week 12 - mama's birthday

da-da surprised ma-ma with a birthday cake 4 days before her birthday... the cake looked really yummy. i hope i get one like that too for my birthday!

week 12 - dada's movie

this was a busy week for me... i had lots of visitors. i met uncle, auntie and cousin nathan on da-da's side for the first time and ah-gong and ah-ma came to visit too because they all wanted to come see da-da's movie Ping Pong Playa at the LA asian film festival.

da-da is the star of the movie! he really can play ping pong!






my friends ava and esme's mommy, auntie jessica, directed da-da's movie. she's an oscar winner! hope da-da can be too one day!




da-da won this newcomer award... don't i get one too since i'm a newcomer too?!!




the movie premiere tired me out!
